The Survey

In order to establish the suitability of your property for a Solar PV installation then a survey will need to be conducted by our engineers. It is important to realize that not all properties are suitable. There are many factors that influence the suitability of a home for PV installation, in particular the orientation of your roof, its pitch (slope) and any objects that could cause shading (trees, chimney, other buildings typically). We will discuss and explain our findings with you.

System Design and Quotation

Based on our survey findings, we will design a system that optimises your solar opportunity.  We will calculate, using the Government’s Standard Assessment Procedure (SAP) the estimated annual and lifetime returns of your system and provide these along with your quotation.

Installation

On acceptance of the quotation, an installation date will be agreed with you. Prior to the installation Greenmaze will organise for the delivery of the solar PV components to your installation address. Scaffolding is generally required and will be erected they day before installation. We factor in a maximum of 2 days for a normal domestic installation.  Our roofing specialists will be responsible for the mounting of the solar panels, while our electricians will install the isolators, inverter, generation meter and wiring inside your house.

Commissioning

Once the system is installed and tested Greenmaze will issue the PV Installation Compliance Certificate and the MCS certificate. These will be required for your application to receive the feed-in tariff.
