This system is installed at a new stable block in Hampshire and provides up to 3kW of electrical power for the owners without having to be connected to the electricity grid.
The system is powered by 12 x 250W Q-Cells panels giving a total input power of 3 kWp. This is managed by a Victron Smart Solar 250/60 charge controller which charges up a 48V lead acid battery store. AC power is provided by a Victron Multiplus 3000 3kW Inverter Charger which also allows for the connection of a standby generator in the winter months if required.
This system allows the owners to run internal and external LED lighting, horse clippers, power tools, fly catchers and even a kettle!
